Scarlet
Soothing river flows,
close to your heart,
Scarlet's eye glows,
since we're apart,
hearts come together,
but she's still,
crescent moon in the aether,
little ones' running on the hill,
but Scarlet's pondering,
"Why are we apart?" she whispers in the wind,
"because it measures our love," utters the wind
in the dark night,
she's still waiting for my sight,
Scarlet's heart thuds,
"He won't show up," she calls the nightingale.
I did infact show up,
I had to bid her goodbye one last time,
dusting off her tombstone,
she cried, "Why did you leave me that night?
Your love killed me more than my dying heart,"
Bright lights all over me,
One last time,
I see her again,
One last time,
her eye glows like a twinkling star,
and the soothing river flows,
close to her heart,
Scarlet waited for me,
throughout her life.
